Thomas Drew (16) is a pupil
at Caistor Grammar School and a former Head Chorister at St. James' Church, Grimsby.
He plays both piano
and violin. Thomas
began his musical education with local teachers, Sylvia Benton (piano) and Francesca
White (violin). He
has been competing at various music festivals for over 9 years with great success.
But increasingly concerts and recitals are becoming more common with his ever
changing repertoire. He
is a member of the National Youth Strings Academy and has performed concerts with
them in London and Scotland. During
his time with Carmel Kaine (violin), Thomas successfully auditioned for a place
at the Royal Academy of Music in London and now continues to study violin with
Nina Martin and piano with Timothy Barrett. He attends every Saturday whilst
continuing his A Level studies at Caistor Grammar School. He
is looking forward to performing Haydn's D Major Piano Concerto with the Lincoln
Symphony Orchestra at Lincoln Drill Hall Thomas
enjoys competitive sport, mainly football and tennis. |
