Music Club/Concert Society Information

LOUTH CHORAL SOCIETY wishes to appoint a new Musical Director from January 2017. With over 80 enthusiastic and committed members, drawn from across Lincolnshire, Louth Choral Society aims to achieve the highest levels of performance, embracing a wide repertoire. A thriving and friendly group of singers, we enjoy the established favourites but equally relish the challenge of the new or neglected. Regarded as one of the foremost amateur choirs in the region, the Choir employs the services of an Assistant and Deputy Assistant Musical Director. The Choir is seeking to appoint an equally enthusiastic and committed Musical Director with the talent and ambition to inspire and challenge its members to maintain and further enhance this reputation. The successful applicant will be expected to have the skills and experience to inspire and communicate with both singers and audience alike, and create an atmosphere of enjoyment and passion for music-making in rehearsals and performances. Each year the Choir performs at least four concerts, regularly engaging professional musicians and soloists, often of international standing. These concerts are held in St James’s Church, Louth, while other venues have included Lincoln and towns in and beyond the county. Further information is available on the Choir’s website: www.louthchoral.co.uk or by email: louthchoralsociety@btopenworld.co.uk Applications including CV and contact details of two referees should be submitted no later than 1st September 2016 to the Chairman: Mr A Stratford, 8 Grays Court, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 0FG or by email to: louthchoralsociety@btopenworld.co.uk
