In
1993 and 1994, he studied at the Beethoven Music School in Mödling. near Vienna,
and in 1994 and 1995, studied Italian language and Italian singing technique at
the Centro Studi Italiani in Urbania, Italy.
Christopher
studied Lute Song with Robert Spencer and, latterly, with Robert McKillop.
He studied the harpsichord
and early keyboard music with John Beckett.
Christopher
Macy’s repertoire is centred on Lieder, French Mélodie and English Song.
He performed Somervell’s song cycle, based on Tennyson’s Maud (Come
into the Garden), at Maud’s home,
Harrington Hall.
He
sings in Oratorio; but Noel Coward, Gershwin and Cole Porter also find their
way into his programmes.
