English Touring Opera is the leading touring opera company in the UK. ETO travels to more regions and to more venues than any other English opera company, touring annually to around 70 venues and presenting as many as 140 performances per year. Our aim is to offer opera to everyone, with a varied repertoire of high-quality professional productions featuring some of the finest talent in opera.

From 28 October - 1 November 2011, English Touring Opera returns to Lincoln Theatre Royal to perform James Conway's hugely popular period production of Handel's Flavio, Thomas Guthirie's enchanting and joyous production of Purcell's The Fairy Queen and a new production of Handel's Xerxes.

Alongside these productions, ETO are performing at St Nicholas Chuch - Buxtehude's extraordinary Membra Jesu Nostri and J.S. Bach's Cantatas No 154, 156.159 & 54 with the choir from Lincoln Minster School.
Finally, at the Wren Library, Lincoln Cathedral, ETO is presenting an intimate and atmospheric performance of Gesualdo's bizarre and compelling Tenebrae music, sung alongside extracts from the composer's murder trial.

Once described as 'Grimsby's best kept secret' - but not any more. Now all roads lead to the Central Hall, which caters for people from all walks of life and all ages. The Central Hall is a venue for a wide range of activities from large and small scale concerts and performances to weekly clubs and societies, conferences and blood donation. It is these diverse roles that ensure the Central Hall operates as a crucial point of community focus and support for many local people. There are rooms available for a wide variety of activities, from committee meetings to conferences and concerts accommodating 7 to 700 people.
The Main Auditorium is renowned for superb acoustic qualities ideal for concerts, conferences and meetings where presentations are made to large audiences.
The Roy Kemp Recital Hall is located on the first floor and holds up to 170 people. This hall offers a large stage and dressing rooms as well as kitchen facilities and a licensed bar making this the ideal venue for drama, concerts, conferences as well as wedding receptions and parties.
The Fisherman's Chapel
is situated on the ground floor, this beautiful chapel with poignant links to Grimsby's fishing heritage is regularly used for services, weddings, baptisms and funerals.

In 2008 David Power was awarded the St Hugh's Foundation Award to write two new compositions and to form a new professional classical music festival in which these two new compositions would be performed.
The first Festival happened in September 2008 at St James Church in Grimsby and was headlined by the Sixteen following the award of additional funding from the Arts Council.
The Festival was a great success and was attended in total by 486people.

There were calls to make this an annual event and funding from the Arts Council, the Holst Foundation and the Ralph Vaughan Williams Trust has made this possible

The Terry O'Toole Theatre is a multifunctional performing arts venue.
Its initial conception was, and remains, a collaboration between North Kesteven School
(A Specialist School for the Performing Arts) Lincolnshire County Council and the
North Kesteven District Council.
The theatre is used by amateur and professional companies alike and, because of its flexible seating arrangements and state of the art technical equipment, has become a popular venue for many of the district's arts projects.
The theatre is available for hire and has its own technical and administrative support team.

The theatre is named in memory of Terry O'Toole, formerly Headteacher and an unfailing supporter of the Arts.
